总之，从 $S^1$ 到 $S^1$ 且满足 $f(1)=1$ 的映射之集合，与从 $\mathbb{R}$ 到 $\mathbb{R}$ 且满足 $\tilde{f}(0)=0$ 与 $\tilde{f}(x+2\pi )=\tilde{f}(x)+2\pi n$ 的映射之集合之间存在一一对应。整数 $n$ 称为 $f$ 的度(degree)，记作 $\mathrm{deg}(f)$。当 $x$ 绕 $S^1$ 一周时，$f(x)$ 绕 $S^1$ 共 $n$ 周。

In summary, there is a one-to-one correspondence between the set of maps from $S^1$ to $S^1$ with $f(1)=1$ and the set of maps from $\mathbb{R}$ to $\mathbb{R}$ such that $\tilde{f}(0)=0$ and $\tilde{f}(x+2\pi )=\tilde{f}(x)+2\pi n$ . The integer $n$ is called the degree of $f$ and is denoted by $\mathrm{deg}(f)$ . While $x$ encircles $S^1$ once, $f(x)$ encircles $S^1$ times.
