定义 · 1.10 瞬子

其中 $S$ 是欧几里得作用量。如式 (1.289)所示，$Z$ 的主要贡献来自那些使 $S[\varphi ,{\partial }_{\mu }\varphi ]$ 取局部极小的 $\varphi (x)$ 取值。在许多理论中，除绝对极小之外还存在若干个局部极小。在非阿贝尔规范理论的情形下，这些极小被称为瞬子(instanton)。

where $S$ is the Euclidean action. Equation (1.289) shows that the principal contribution to $Z$ comes from the values of $\varphi (x)$ which give the local minima of $S[\varphi ,{\partial }_{\mu }\varphi ]$ . In many theories there exist a number of local minima in addition to the absolute minimum. In the case of non-Abelian gauge theories these minima are called instantons.
