定义 · 1.6 标量场的量子化

前几节所作的分析可以很容易地推广到具有多个自由度的情形。我们特别感兴趣的是具有无穷多个自由度的系统，即量子场论(quantum field theory)（QFT）。下面从最简单的情形，也就是标量场论(scalar field theory)开始讨论。设 $\varphi (x)$ 是时空坐标 $x=(x,x^0)$ 处的实标量场，其中 $x$ 是空间坐标，$x^0$ 是时间坐标。作用量依赖于 $\varphi$ 及其导数 ${\partial }_{\mu }\varphi (x)=\partial \varphi (x)/\partial x^{\mu }$：

The analysis made in the previous sections may be easily generalized to a case with many degrees of freedom. We are interested, in particular, in a system with infinitely many degrees of freedom; the quantum field theory (QFT). Let us start our exposition with the simplest case, that is, the scalar field theory. Let $\varphi (x)$ be a real scalar field at the spacetime coordinates $x=(x,x^0)$ where $x$ is the space coordinate while $x^0$ is the time coordinate. The action depends on $\varphi$ and its derivatives ${\partial }_{\mu }\varphi (x)=\partial \varphi (x)/\partial x^{\mu }$ :
