28 Weyl and Clifford Algebras

Weyl and Cliford Algebras

We have seen that just changing commutators to anticommutators takes the harmonic oscillator quantum system to a very diferent one (the fermionic oscillator), with this new system having in many ways a parallel structure. It turns out that this parallelism goes much deeper, with every aspect of the harmonic oscillator story having a fermionic analog. We’ll begin in this chapter by studying the operators of the corresponding quantum systems.
