下面把概率幅(1.87)用路径积分表述(path integral formalism)表示出来。为此，我们考虑$t_f-t_i=\epsilon$为无穷小正数的情况。为简化记号，令$x_i=x$、$x_f=y$，并设哈密顿量具有如下形式

$$\hat{H}=\frac{{\hat{p}}^2}{2m}+V(\hat{x}).\text{\hspace{1em}(1.90)}$$

Now the amplitude (1.87) is expressed in the path integral formalism. To this end, we consider the case in which $t_f-t_i=\epsilon$ is an infinitesimal positive number. Let us put $x_i=x$ and $x_f=y$ to simplify the notation and suppose the Hamiltonian is of the form

$$\hat{H}=\frac{{\hat{p}}^2}{2m}+V(\hat{x}).\text{\hspace{1em}(1.90)}$$
